For the first time in the company’s history extending back over more than 45 years, Mercedes-Benz’s performance brand is offering a fascinating high-performance vehicle in the compact class, representing a dynamic proposition for a new target group. In a recent reader poll undertaken by the German motoring magazine “sport auto” which had called for its readers to vote for “the sportiest cars of 2013”, the A 45 AMG was the undisputed leader, taking over one-third of all votes to clinch the “sport auto Award” in the compact car category.
