The weather in Singapore is getting hotter these days, which means it is even more important to drink enough fluids and keep your body functioning well. With my pretty high activity levels from all the Ironman 70.3 training (of swimming, cycling and running) I’m doing, it’s important to stay hydrated all the time, even when I’m not exercising.

Two months ago, I incorporated ELO Water into my daily diet. I usually drink about 2 litres of water a day, so what I did was to replace 750ml of these 2 litres with ELO Water.

ELO Water is rich in oxygen and it has a refreshing taste, so it doesn’t taste weird or different from normal water. The technology behind ELO water allows a high level of oxygen to exist in a unique, stable and bound form which is easily absorbed into the body to help enhance your overall well-being.

Drinking ELO Water has been observed to increase the body’s tissue oxygen level by 15 to 25%! Nourishing the body from within, ELO Water is also pure and free from preservatives and additives.

What I liked best about ELO Water is how it gives an added boost for longer-lasting performance in my training.  It re-oxygenates the muscles and prevent them from going into anaerobic action too early; at the same time it re-energises the body and helps to beat aftermath fatigue, especially for high-intensity activities and endurance sports like mine.

ELO Water comes in three sizes – 1.5L, 750ml and 450ml. I like the smallest bottle the most because it’s the easiest to carry around. You can try it for yourself at www.elowatershop.com. Use promo code CherylxELO to get 10% discount off all ELO Water and ELO Gel+ products.

Besides drinking ELO Water, you can also soak in it at the ELO Lab. Located at City Square Mall, each session takes 50 minutes and the ELO Water in the bathtub is warmed to 37 to 38 degrees Celsius.

Soaking in this gives a relaxing effect on the body as the oxygen is absorbed through the skin to enhance your body tissue oxygen levels. When your tissues have enough oxygen, it promotes better healing and health.

I tried it for five consecutive days and I slept very well at night. After a hard training session in the morning, I looked forward to the soak at ELO Lab because it helped me to recover faster as well. There is complimentary Wi-Fi so you can catch up on your latest Netflix series, or you might fall asleep like I did.

Ideally, it is recommended to complete a cycle of 14 consecutive ELO sessions, with 10 days of rest between each cycle. Of course, it may vary for individuals. More info about ELO Lab here.
