You’ve got your hair, nails and facial done; you’re got your new clothes and shoes ready – what about your teeth? There’s a lot of smiling and greeting to be done, which means you will be flashing that set of pearlies frequently, so this BlanX White Shock kit came in time for Chinese New Year.

Within its revolutionary patented formula is Actilux®, the active ingredient that uses the power of light to whiten teeth in a natural way. Actilux has a photocatalytic effect that breaks down organic dirt and bacteria using light, helping to wash away dirt particles on your teeth.
For more intense whitening action, the BlanX White Shock comes with this LED accelerator. Basically, the LED will light up each time you uncap the toothpaste. This will activate the active ingredient, Actilux, in the toothpaste as soon as you squeeze it onto your toothbrush, thus multiplying the whitening effect.
You can also use this LED light to further boost the formula on your teeth (after brushing) by holding the light in front of your teeth for one minute every day. However, this LED light only works specifically with the Actilux in BlanX White Shock formula products, so it will not work with other toothpaste brands.
A primary concern people have is that teeth whitening products are harsh and abrasive. BlanX White Shock does not contain peroxides or abrasive silica that can irritate and destroy the enamel, so the extent of tooth abrasion is very low. At the same time, Actilux also keeps your gums healthy and hydrated, whilst removing bacteria that can cause plaque and cavities.
Because the toothpaste is blue, you might be a little stunned initially because your whole mouth will be blue. But you will get used to it after! I’ve been using it for almost a week now and I’m starting to see some effects.
